Seattle Neighborhood Group educates, organizes, and collaborates with residents, businesses, government entities and other organizations to create safe communities through equitable engagement, with a focus on underserved populations.
As we work to fulfill our mission, we are committed to engaging people, encouraging participation, and solving challenging problems together. The relationships we develop and the trust we build are central to doing our work effectively, and they are undoubtedly our most valuable assets.
Educate
Our goal is to increase safety, belonging, and positive activities in partnership with our communities and other organizations. We seek to strengthen community connections through events, outreach, and community conversation as well as sharing basic, effective, accessible safety skills that people need to use every day, in many situations.
Organize
Our staff coordinate many community projects, offer small groups support and expertise, and partner with other agencies on sponsoring and organizing events that bring communities together to make them stronger and safer.
Collaborate
Seattle Neighborhood Group supports our communities in addressing public safety problems through partnership and collaboration. We intend to do this work equitably, working with all, and solving challenging problems together.
